A most stimulating and successful visit was enjoyed by the members at this museum.
The artistry and skill demonstrated by the early American seamstresses was unbelievable and we spent a lot of the visit admiring the designs and fine needlework. As an added attraction we viewed the modern interpretation of quilts by Kasse Fassett and some of these were displayed alongside the American ones that had inspired them. There were also early American room settings to view and delightful landscaping and gardens to saunter in. We were blessed by a beautiful day, a comfortable journey with a helpful driver and we arrived safely home, tired but happy.
